Okay, we’re not real sure how to say this, so we’re just going to come right out with it: Our Business Directory is up and ready to go! That’s right, you can click on the link just three spaces to the right of our (now-seasonally-appropriate) logo to either find a business or insert your own—and we assure you, it’s extremely easy to do both. And it’s FREE!
Now, the reason we’re so psyched about this new offering is that it’s going to not only open us up for a whole lot more interaction with our wonderful audience, but it’s one of the early components of YEP that literally symbolizes the beginning of a series of awesome features we have in store for you. The initial idea for YEP was to share the inspirational, and to highlight the stories of people in everyday life who have done, or are doing, interesting things. Part of that idea was to also provide our visitors with as many practical and user-friendly tools as possible, so that they could connect with and experience the many worthwhile elements of their community. Our Business Directory certainly represents that intention. Ultimately, if you need a number, an address, a website, a menu, or even a map view for a business in the tri-state area, we want to be the first place you look.
How does it work? Two ways. If you’re looking for a business in or around your area, simply click on Business Directory at the top of the home page and start perusing. The main list is in alphabetical order, or you can filter your search by state. You can also narrow your search more specifically by clicking on one of the many “Business Categories” to the right of the main list. It’s that easy.
If you’re a business, and you want to submit your information into YEP, it’s virtually effortless. Literally, click on the “get started” link in the opening paragraph of the directory and then load in your information (or just do it right here).
You can upload pretty much everything there is to know about your business, including a photo or logo. And to top it off, we’ll even provide a link to Google Maps through our “View map” option. If you need to see how great it truly is, you should check it out (pretty much, as soon as you’re done here)—we’ve already got some businesses up and ready.
