Gregory Town is a small settlement in the northern part of Eleuthera—an island, among many, that make up The Bahamas. Despite what brochures might proclaim, or travel agencies might glamorize, Gregory Town is poor. The salt and pineapple industries are nothing compared to what they were in decades past, and you can see it everywhere. But that doesn’t stop the children from running out of their colorful little school house to greet you—wearing nothing but smiles, laughter, and the best clothes that they own—as if it’s the greatest kingdom on Earth, and they are its proud welcoming committee. A reminder: You make the place.
What’s The GOOD Stuff all about?
In an increasingly negative world, a little dose of the simple, beautiful things in life can make all the difference—a kind thought, a joke, a little nostalgia, a photo that takes your breath away, a video filled with laughter. There is a lot of GOOD all around you, just look and share.
