What is YEP?

Real people—that’s where the stories are.

YEP is much more than a playful acronym for a publication—YEP is community. Your community. Our community.

Everyday people are the spirit that builds a foundation for families to flourish, talents to thrive, businesses to grow. We all have something important to offer. A story that will inspire, a point-of-view that will challenge, a video that will be a catalyst for change. YEP is a platform to share with the people in your region, and the world, the simple, beautiful, and exciting aspects of life. You will not find “doom and gloom” here. If we are covering an upsetting topic, we will be constructive about it—offering ways that you can make a difference.

YEP’s mission is to provide a refreshing forum for exchange, inspiration, and knowledge in an effort to catalyze connections in a world that seems to be on track to do the opposite. WeAreYep.com is for people who have something to say. YEP is for people who want to share what matters most. Think about it. Heiresses and megastars are not more interesting or inspiring than real people. Their jobs are not more important than the ones done outside of Hollywood or ESPN—they’re just a little more well-known. That’s it. YEP is going to tell the stories that should be getting told, in a dynamic and creative way. YEP is real people, real businesses—making positive contributions and inspiring change. You are YEP. We are YEP.

We have a lot of plans for this site that will unfold in the coming months. Look for additional components like Classifieds, Events Listings, Deals, and Social Opportunities—for you to create profiles and connect with new and old friends. You’ll be able to discuss topics, share your work, and build community right here.

And if you need to find a good meal and a movie in your area, it’ll be right here, too. That, and so much more.

You are an important part of our mission and we thank you for stopping by. We hope you will continue to find the kind of news that we all need more of—GOOD stuff. News from, and for, your everyday people. Stay tuned.
